Brdr. Hetland A/S, 1-step Falling-Film vacuum evaporator unit

This pilot plant evaporator unit is manufactured in SIS 2343 acid proof stainless steel. It has one calendria with 20 pipes, Ø 33,7 mm and length 3.000 mm. The total heating transfer area is thus around 6 sqm.

This evaporator was in operation with direct steam for concentrating 100 kg/hour stick water from 7 % DS to 35 % DS.

The evaporator is mounted in a solid steel construction with ladder for easy access to the top.
